Tomoko Kakita is an experienced interior architect based in London, UK, with more than two decades of residence in the country, which has deepened their admiration for Japanese traditions. They believe that Japanese culture's essence lies in celebrating nature, seasons, and gratitude for the Earth's offerings. Through their work in spatial design, they aim to help people fill their spaces with beauty while promoting environmental responsibility. Their mission is to share the beauty of Furoshiki and Japanese culture, encouraging people to reconnect with nature and one another while fostering a network of appreciation, following in the footsteps of their ancestors.

What makes our products so special

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
