Akashiya Koto Iyashi Indigo Blossom Brush Pen
Akashiya Koto Iyashi Indigo Blossom Brush Pen
Colour:
Code: SAWI-500P-5The Akashiya Koto Iyashi Indigo Blossom Brush Pen is wrapped in softly textured Japanese washi paper, featuring a bold yet refined floral pattern in deep indigo and warm accent tones.
Elegant and expressive, it is well suited for special occasions such as letter writing, addressing envelopes, gift notes, and ceremonial use including weddings or tea gatherings. The natural texture of the washi wrapping adds a tactile warmth, making each pen a pleasure to hold and use.
Crafted using traditional Nara brush-making techniques, the brush tip is carefully handmade one by one using resilient synthetic bristles, allowing for beautiful variation in strokes - from fine lines to expressive flourishes.
Filled with water-based dye ink, the pen delivers smooth, fluid writing with a soft, authentic brush feel.
Produced by Akashiya Fude, a specialist brush maker based in Nara—the birthplace of Japanese brush craftsmanship - with over 300 years of history, continuing to carry forward its culture and tradition.

What’s in the box?
Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
