Crafted by Asakura Kagu in Japan, the Naminori Toast Plate is designed to help keep toast crisp, warm, and enjoyable for longer.

Named Naminori (“riding the waves”), the plate features a distinctive wave-shaped surface that allows excess steam to escape, helping freshly toasted bread stay crisp rather than becoming soggy underneath.

Made from Japanese Mountain Cherry wood, the plate naturally retains warmth better than ceramic or metal, helping toast stay warmer for longer. The timber also develops a deeper colour and richer character with age and use.

The reverse side features a flat surface, allowing the plate to double as a small cutting or serving board when needed.

Finished with food-safe linseed oil, the plate is easy to maintain and can be refreshed with occasional re-oiling to preserve its natural beauty.
