Tsugaru Vidro Flowers of Tsugaru Mizubasho Gift Boxed Glass Serving Bowl

Part of the beautiful Flowers of Tsugaru collection, this handcrafted glass bowl is inspired by Mizubasho, the elegant white marsh flower that blooms in northern Japan as a sign of spring. Delicate shades of green, blue, and white are suspended within the glass, evoking the fresh beauty of wetlands and mountain landscapes where these graceful flowers flourish.

The softly curved shape and textured surface catch and reflect light beautifully, bringing depth, colour, and character to every piece. Whether displayed on the table or used for serving, the bowl showcases the distinctive craftsmanship of Tsugaru Vidro.

Ideal for serving salads, fruit, desserts, cold noodles, sashimi, and seasonal dishes, the versatile 16cm size is suitable for both everyday dining and entertaining.

Handcrafted in Japan, each bowl carries subtle variations that reflect the warmth and individuality of traditional glassmaking.

About Tsugaru Vidro

Originating from Hokuyo Glass in Aomori, once Japan’s leading maker of glass fishing floats, Tsugaru Vidro carries forward generations of glassblowing expertise.

When plastic replaced glass floats, the artisans turned their chūbuki free-blowing technique toward creating decorative glassware, blending their own colours to capture the beauty of Japan’s four seasons.

Founded in 1977, Tsugaru Vidro is now recognised as an Aomori Prefecture Traditional Craft, celebrated for its gentle warmth, vivid hues, and timeless handmade quality.

What makes our products so special

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
