- Designer's message -
The effect of a favourite colour
The Fun Pun Clock with Colour was designed with children’s rooms and personal spaces in mind. The palette features soft, muted tones chosen for their calm and pleasant character. Each colour is given its own name, encouraging children and families to find their favourite.
Framed in environmentally friendly plywood, the clock is designed as a “graphic with a function” - a piece that not only tells the time but also gently guides the atmosphere of a room.
Supporting families as times change
The colour development was carried out in collaboration with the interior paint company Colourworks, with prototypes shared through social media surveys to gather public feedback. One outcome of this process was the inclusion of a soft lilac tone. While lavender had often been requested, discussions with parents highlighted the importance of creating colours that feel welcoming and inclusive for all children, regardless of gender.
The aim is for this clock to continue growing as a design that supports children and families, and to be loved for many years to come.
