The MUKU Desk Clock (ムク デスク クロック) celebrates the natural beauty of solid wood in a compact, sculptural form. In Japanese, muku (無垢) refers to pure, solid wood - an honest material valued for its warmth, strength, and distinctive grain.
Carefully shaped from a block of alder wood, the clock features a softly rounded back that creates a gentle three-dimensional silhouette. Its smooth curves and natural texture invite you to pick it up and appreciate the material in hand.
Rather than printed numerals, the hour markers are branded directly into the wood, creating subtle variations in tone and depth. Combined with the natural grain patterns, each clock becomes a one-of-a-kind piece.
As with all natural wood products, every clock carries its own unique character, making each MUKU clock subtly different.

What’s in the box?
Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
A beautiful small dish - exactly what I wanted. It’s charming and a beautiful blue. Delivery was very rapid and the dish was carefully wrapped in Japanese newspaper and bubble wrap. Very pleased!
