Known overseas as the “Hori Hori Knife”, this traditional Japanese mountain vegetable and leisure knife is highly regarded for its versatility, strength, and rust resistance.

The design traces its origins to the Matagi, traditional Japanese mountain hunters who originally carved pointed bamboo tools for foraging and digging. Each blade is mirror-polished and fully heat-treated for even strength, corrosion resistance, and easy resharpening. Its curved, sharpened edge makes it perfect for digging, cutting roots, dividing plants, and weeding, while the inch and centimetre depth markings allow precise planting and soil work.
