A mini-towel made from up-cycled YUKINE bits

During towel manufacturing, some material is inevitably lost due to loose threads and fraying. "YUKINE BITS" upcycles these materials into half-sized mini-towels. Despite their smaller size, they retain YUKINE's high water absorption. Compact enough for a pocket or mini bag, they serve as a practical alternative to tissues for wiping small items.

The squeaky clean feeling of the YUKINE towel comes from a refined method called Atozarashi. This regional process removes starch and natural impurities from the cotton after weaving, enhancing its absorbency. YUKINE undergoes this process twice to maximize the cotton's ability to absorb water. The refined cotton fibers produce a squeaky feel and soften with each wash. The design combines white cotton yarns for the warp and colored yarns for the weft, creating patterns inspired by nature, such as earth, water, and snowy landscapes.

What makes our products so special

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
