New for Spring 2025, Marushin by Shinto range. The unique feature of Shinto’s Senshu towel craftsmanship is "Atozarashi" - a traditional post-weave refining technique. This meticulous process gently removes weaving starch, natural oils, and impurities from the cotton fibres, allowing their true absorbency to emerge.

With YUKINE SARASHI, this method is taken even further. By doubling the time and care, the cotton is refined to its fullest potential. This resulting in a towel that absorbs more, feels softer, and grows even gentler with every wash.

Shinto Towel combines more than a century of knowledge and technical experience with an eye for innovation and creativity to create premium textiles that disrupt the status quo. Their towels are set apart by their superior absorbency, luxurious softness, and a trademark texture achieved through atozarashi, a post-weave refining process that removes starches, oils and impurities from the fibers to create an addictingly fluffy texture.

What makes our products so special

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
