The Steel Grey range features tones blue and grey, similar to that of a stormy sky. Each piece has a unique powdered pattern determined by its position in the kiln during the firing process. Focusing on simple, practical shapes and with a gloss finish, the Steel Grey range provides an elegant background for your creations in the kitchen.

Made of 'Minoyaki' porcelain, fired at a high temperature and hand finished at the Taka kiln in Gifu prefecture, Japan.
Slight irregularities in size, glaze and texture reflect the artisan nature of the product and are embraced.

Our tableware has been made with love, and sometimes needs a little extra care. While the majority of our products are microwave and dishwasher safe, sudden changes in temperature are likely to cause thermal shock, which will damage your item, and we don’t want that.

General Information

Most of Made in Japan products are sourced from small, family-run kilns in Gifu on the central island of Honshu, with the rest of our collections sourced from all over Japan. Our products make their way from Japan to our lovely warehouse in Yorkshire, where we keep them safe until it’s time for them to head to their new homes.
