Most of Made in Japan products are sourced from small, family-run kilns in Gifu on the central island of Honshu, with the rest of our collections sourced from all over Japan. Our products make their way from Japan to our lovely warehouse in Yorkshire, where we keep them safe until it’s time for them to head to their new homes.

Its generous surface is well suited to grilled fish, roasted vegetables, appetisers, or composed platters, while the gently raised edge helps contain sauces and juices with ease. The asymmetrical shape adds a natural, relaxed character to presentation.
Finished in a Storm glaze, it features layered grey tones with subtle variation, creating a soft, atmospheric surface that brings depth and balance to the table.

What’s in the box?
Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
A beautiful small dish - exactly what I wanted. It’s charming and a beautiful blue. Delivery was very rapid and the dish was carefully wrapped in Japanese newspaper and bubble wrap. Very pleased!
