Created by Yamachiku, a bamboo chopstick maker with over 50 years of craftsmanship in Kumamoto, Japan, the Sweet Urushi Chopsticks bring a fresh and contemporary touch to traditional Japanese lacquerware.

The Sweet Urushi collection combines the natural warmth and durability of urushi lacquer with soft pastel colours designed for modern everyday dining. Finished in a refreshing Mint Blue shade, these chopsticks add a subtle pop of colour to the table while maintaining the comfort and elegance of traditional Japanese chopsticks.

Handmade from Japanese natural bamboo, they feature a slim, lightweight profile and finely tapered tips for precise handling of food. The urushi-lacquered handle offers a smooth, comfortable grip, while the acrylic-coated tips provide added durability for everyday use.

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
