This Eight-sided sushi mug features a distinctive faceted form inspired by traditional Japanese sushi yunomi. Finished in a warm yellow glaze, it brings a subtle brightness and character to the table while remaining timeless and understated.

Crafted with a thicker ceramic body, the mug has a reassuring weight in the hand and excellent heat retention - designed for both everyday enjoyment and professional use.

The angular form sits comfortably in the hand while adding subtle visual interest, making it ideal for serving green tea during meals, sushi service, or relaxed daily moments.

  • 8cm diameter
  • 10cm height
  • 330ml capacity
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe

Produced by Tokiwa, a cooperative of makers in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, one of Japan’s most renowned pottery regions - known for durable, restaurant-quality tableware.

Due to the nature of the glazing and production process, slight variations in colour and finish may occur, making each piece subtly unique.

Most of Made in Japan products are sourced from small, family-run kilns in Gifu on the central island of Honshu, with the rest of our collections sourced from all over Japan. Our products make their way from Japan to our lovely warehouse in Yorkshire, where we keep them safe until it’s time for them to head to their new homes.

What makes our products so special

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
