The Chitose Series is a cookware collection by Wahei Freiz, crafted in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata - a region renowned for its long tradition of Japanese metalworking craftsmanship.
Combining stainless steel, iron, and copper with natural wood details, the collection is designed with a focus on durability, functionality, and quiet everyday beauty. Clean lines, seamless construction, and carefully considered forms reflect the thoughtful simplicity of traditional Japanese kitchen tools.
Made by skilled artisans and designed for everyday use, the Chitose Series brings together lasting quality, understated elegance, and practical comfort for modern kitchens.
Care Instructions
- Wash gently with a soft sponge and mild detergent after use
- Dry thoroughly immediately after washing to help prevent water marks and oxidation
- Avoid prolonged soaking
- Do not use in a dishwasher
- Use low to medium heat, as copper conducts heat very efficiently
- Avoid overheating when empty
Please Note
Over time, the copper surface will naturally develop a deeper patina and colour variation through use and exposure to air. This ageing process is part of the unique character and beauty of copper cookware.
The interior nickel-plated surface is designed for practical everyday cooking and easier maintenance. To help preserve the finish, avoid using metal utensils or abrasive cleaners.
