Code: BK-5102Ever since Osaka World Expo ’70 brought contemporary forms centre stage, Japan has been a key player in global architecture.
The contemporary architecture of Japan has long been among the most inventive in the world, recognised for sustainability and infinite creativity. No fewer than seven Japanese architects have won the Pritzker Prize.
Presenting the Japanese art of building, This XL-sized book highlights 39 architects and 55 exceptional projects by Japanese masters - from Tadao Ando’s Shanghai Poly Theater, Shigeru Ban’s concert hall La Seine Musical, SANAA’S Grace Farms, Fumihiko Maki’s 4 World Trade Center, to Takashi Suo’s much smaller sustainable dental clinic.

What’s in the box?
Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
