A charming handmade greeting card crafted from traditional Mino washi paper, carefully hand-torn to express the soft texture and character of a dog’s fur.

Each piece is individually made using hand-crafted washi created by skilled Japanese artisans, allowing the natural fibres and texture of the paper to remain beautifully visible. The torn paper offcuts are recycled and reprocessed into new washi material, reflecting a thoughtful approach to craftsmanship and sustainability.

The coloured background paper, chosen to reflect each dog breed, uses First Vintage paper by Gmund - a paper maker known for its environmentally conscious production.

Created by Re+g (Replug), a Japanese stationery brand inspired by the ideas of recycling, regional tradition, and renewal, the Washi Dog series was one of their earliest creations. Complete with a white envelope, it can also be posted or gifted beautifully on its own.

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
