The FRK Series Soft Cutting Board is designed with a unique wood-core structure that cushions each cut, helping preserve your knife’s sharpness. Unlike typical synthetic boards, its soft, grippy surface keeps ingredients steady, making it ideal for precise, delicate cuts.

Its wood core also makes it up to 30% lighter than solid plastic cutting boards, making handling effortless and reducing the strain of washing heavier boards. The lighter weight also helps minimise the risk of serious injury from accidental drops.

Gentle on knife edges, it helps maintain sharpness while offering excellent grip for safe, accurate cutting. The wood core is fully sealed within thick plastic layers, ensuring it remains completely protected when handled correctly.

The wood core construction prevents warping and bending, even with long-term use or high-temperature washing. It stays stable, dishwasher safe, and offers excellent rigidity when in use.

Hasegawa Corporation was founded as a ski materials manufacturer.

Skis have a wooden core sandwiched between plastic sheets which should never separate, as that can cause injury to skiers. In order to keep skiers safe, they started focusing on the technology of the adhesion.

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
