The eki Clock (エキ クロック) takes its name from the Japanese word eki, meaning station. The design is inspired by the station clocks created by renowned Japanese designer Takenobu Igarashi for Sapporo Station.

In 2003, Igarashi designed the monumental “Great Star Clock” installed on the south facade of Sapporo Station, along with the clocks placed throughout the station concourses. The eki Clock adapts this public timepiece design into a refined wall clock for the home.

Like the original station clocks, the dial features a distinctive double-colour display - white on one side and black on the other. The specially designed numerals remain easy to read even when viewed from below, with the lower halves oriented upward for clear visibility from multiple angles.

The frame is carefully crafted from sand-cast aluminium and precisely machined, allowing the dial and glass to sit closely together for an exceptionally clean silhouette. The result is a design that captures the essence of a timeless station clock - clear, functional, and quietly elegant.

  • Size: φ 256 x D40 mm
  • Materials: Aluminium, Glass

Bringing the clarity of a station clock into the home, the eki Clock reflects the thoughtful simplicity of Japanese design. Its understated presence makes it a distinctive piece for modern interiors and a thoughtful gift for design lovers or housewarmings.
