The Tilt Cuckoo Clock, designed by nendo (Oki Sato), is part of the cuckoo-collection - a series that reinterprets the traditional cuckoo clock through subtle and unexpected design changes.

Inspired by the familiar chalet-style cuckoo clock, Tilt angles both the clock face and cuckoo bird, creating a playful illusion that encourages the viewer to notice the clock itself is designed to sit at a tilt. To achieve this unique form, the internal components have been carefully repositioned to maintain balance and stability.

Crafted from cedar veneer MDF, the clock combines the warmth of natural wood with nendo’s signature approach to simple, thoughtful design. An original cuckoo sound changes every three hours with the addition of musical tones, while a built-in light sensor automatically silences the clock in dark environments.
