His reviews have graced the pages of Monocle Books, and he is the author of the popular A–Z series on pop culture, featuring iconic figures like Bowie, Prince, Warhol, and Grace Jones.

With a profound passion for Japan, Steve has authored several acclaimed books on the country, including "Tokyo Precincts" (2015), "Kyoto Pocket Precincts" (2016), "Onsen of Japan" (2018), "Tokyo" (2018), and "Osaka Pocket Precincts" (2020). His Japan-focused publications have earned design awards and reached audiences worldwide, with translations into five languages.
