Traditionally used for serving chawanmushi, the delicate Japanese savoury egg custard, this beautifully crafted lidded cup brings a sense of warmth and refinement to the table. The versatile shape is equally suited to light soups, appetisers, desserts, and small side dishes.

Finished in a rich Oribe glaze, each piece showcases deep green tones inspired by one of Japan’s most celebrated ceramic styles. Subtle variations in the glaze create depth and character, while the organic form reflects the beauty of traditional Japanese pottery.

The fitted lid helps retain heat while adding an elegant presentation, making it ideal for both everyday meals and special occasions.

What makes our products so special

What’s in the box?

Our products are made with love and care in Japan, but it’s with you where their story lives on. And for that to happen, we need to make sure they arrive with you in one piece! We carefully wrap each item in bubble wrap and traditional Japanese newspapers (you’ll often find a Japanese crossword or sudoku to solve!). You’ll also receive a short guide on how to care for and cherish your new tableware. Sustainability is important to us and we’re working hard on ways to keep items safe while being kind to the planet, too.
