Crafted for years of everyday cooking, this traditional iron tempura frying pot is designed to develop character and performance through continued use.

Made in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata - one of Japan’s most respected regions for metalworking craftsmanship - the pot combines traditional Japanese iron cookware with thoughtful functional details suited to modern kitchens.

Over time, the iron surface naturally seasons through cooking oils, improving its cooking performance and creating a pot that becomes more familiar and reliable with every use. With proper care, it can be enjoyed for many years as a trusted kitchen essential.

Ideal for tempura, karaage, croquettes, and everyday deep frying, iron cookware offers excellent heat retention and stable oil temperature for crisp and consistent cooking results. The deeper shape helps reduce splatter, while the stepped rim design provides convenient support for draining oil during cooking. A practical pouring spout also allows oil to be transferred more easily after use.

Care Instructions

Please read the Care Instruction before first use. The English care instructions can be found on pages 3–4 of the PDF.

Please Note

  • Wash gently with warm water and dry thoroughly after each use
  • Avoid prolonged soaking, as iron may rust if left wet
  • After washing, heat lightly to remove remaining moisture before storing
  • A light coating of cooking oil after use will help maintain the surface over time
  • Do not use in a dishwasher
  • Use cooking oil suitable for deep frying and avoid overheating oil

The iron surface is finished with a silicone resin coating to help protect the cookware during storage and transport. With continued use, the surface will naturally season through cooking oils and develop improved cooking performance over time.

Slight colour changes and surface marks are part of the natural ageing process of iron cookware and are embraced as part of its character.
